Hi there, not a lot of action from me. Sorry, I have been busy with a lot of things but mixing is not of them. ;-(
There won’t be a year-mix 2025. If I wait even longer I could rename it to 2026. Anyway, I have a lot of audio tracks and music videos from 2025 so any new mix should have new tracks as well.
Lots of ideas, let me find the time to get creative again!
Hi there! I guess a “year-mix 2025” is coming.
However, I’m still selecting tracks and videos. Unfortunately not all songs have a ‘real’ music-video. Sure, there’s a lyric-video. But there are tracks that don’t even have a lyric-video.
Anyway, I will start mixing the audio version on the 1st or 2nd of January. And after that, as soon as possible the video version.
Yes, I really want to mix this 2025 year-mix. No more year-mixes after this one? Maybe… There are still some mixing projects I would like to do!
Hi there! Yes, it has been a long time. Releasing C.A.C.T.P.M. 10 video mix and that was the last mixing related thing I have done.
First some bad news. I have tried to find a decent video mix sharing platform, found one, uploaded the video mix. Not long after that, I decided to let it rest and finalize the details the next day: track listing etc. etc. No such thing, no resting! I received an email that the video mix has been brought down due to copyright infringements. OK, for now, I have stopped looking.
There’s also some good news! I have plans to create a 2025 year-mix and of course when that one is done, the video mix. I will try to get the audio version done around Christmas.
Speaking of year-mixes. I have found my 2011, 2012 and 2024 video year-mixes on a share mixing site. There are tons and tons of other mixes.

Hi, it seems that there’s a glitch on CD2 in the “Calvin Harris & Sam Smith – Desire” video. I fixed that and re-uploaded the video mix. There’s also one on CD1, and that glitch is during the “P!nk – Never Gonna Not Dance Again” video. The strange thing is, I see the glitch when I play the video on the built-in player on my TV. But it’s not there when I play the video on my mobile, and it’s not there when playing on my PC. Weird. Anyway, below the new link to the mix.

Hurray! Hurray! It’s here! The video version for the 10th mix in my Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix series. It took some time, sweat, one Sunday caught by the flu, an unfortunate error during exporting the CD2 video, a few back problems, and a pair of dried up eyes but, it’s here! I finalized the CD1 mp4 on the 1st of March. But CD2 was a different story. But in the end, on the 7th, I gave the OK GO for myself, to finalize the CD2 mp4.
Some fun facts: not once but twice I managed to switch the verse and chorus lines of the Maroon 5 tracks and that means the video is switched as well. Which looks, yeah, kinda funny. And somehow a damaged frame kept popping up in the “Con Calma” video, I left it in there. And there was also something weird in the “The Motto” video. I guess it’s not in the original (I haven’t rechecked YT) but it is in my video. I have managed to fix it in my mix, so it’s fine. 🙂
I’m working to get my video mixes uploaded to a streaming service. So stay tuned for news on that!

Yes, here we are! I created the first video sample on the 2nd of January 08:27 PM: t01-s01-Ed Sheeran – Shivers.mp4 and the last one… well, that wasn’t track #85 of CD2, but in fact: t84-s09-Calvin Harris & Sam Smith – Desire, on the 27th of February 08:19 PM. 😉
CD1 contained 6 pieces and CD2 as well. Added the pieces together, had to make sure that not only sound goes smoothly but of course also the video should be mixed smoothly. So, in the end we have a CD1 and a CD2: two videos, two files, one video mix. I have to go and look at the videos closely, see if I have missed a hick-up, if there’s a loose frame or an unforeseen overlap.
I’m aiming for a release next week. Sunday the 9th? Yeah, I guess so. Stay tuned.
One more thing. I have changed the name of the VIDEO mix section to place this one in. 🙂
Yeah! 73 tracks done, 12 to go and then all 170! tracks have been video-mixed. Still some coughing and blowing the nose every now and then. But all is well to do some mixing! 🙂
Latest track mixed: Marco Borsato & Armin van Buuren & Davina Michelle – Hoe Het Danst.
Looks like I will be mixing the last tracks this Thursday/Friday. I have watched and listened CD1 closely and so far I couldn’t find any hick-ups, all video nicely aligned, so that looks good. CD2 is next, this Friday should be OK I guess to take a closer look at all those video bits!

Hi! Sorry, I have missed my regular Sunday update. Yesterday I caught the flu and was ‘out’ until this morning. I did manage to add 3 tracks but not long after that, it was lights out for me. 😉
Latest track mixed: Elton John & Britney Spears – Hold Me Closer.
Along the way I came across track #39 “Felix Jaehn feat. Jasmine Thompson – Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” and I was wondering why the music video bits were out of sync with my audio. And then I remembered. The original video version is at 118.0 bpm. And yes, the version I have used is at 123.0 bpm. Speeding up the video by 1.042 times works fine. 🙂
Fun fact: in the early stages of the video mix, I have been using ‘still images’ to fill up small gaps but I haven’t used them for ages now. Just adding bits of video to add a new story line.
Latest track mixed: Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson – Symphony.
Luckily a lot of tracks I had to mix using video with the artist singing. Which is fun, and needs some cutting to get the right bits. E.g. “Flemming – Automatisch” and “Olly Murs – Wrapped Up”. Another thing that was fun doing was mixing “Jonas Blue featuring William Singe – Mama”. The original song is at 104.0 bpm. The ‘dance’ version I used in my mix is at 122.0 bpm. Which meant I had to speed up the original by 1.173x. It worked out fine! 🙂
50 tracks to go. Let’s say, approximately 3 tracks a day. 28th of February is doable. Then gluing 6 pieces together for CD1. And another 6 for CD2.
Oh and I finally updated the C.A.C.T.P.M. page! Shame on me. Finally added the download link to C.A.C.T.P.M. Volume 10 !
Yes! All 85 tracks of CD1 have video attached to them. On the way with CD2: 11 tracks done. Latest track video mixed: The Weeknd – Save Your Tears. Still a long way to go but on schedule I am! 🙂
